The 3D Pioneers Challenge received numerous entries in 11 categories from students, universities, start-ups and industrial companies. With entries from 25 countries and 5 continents, the judges faced a challenging task in selecting the 43 finalists. The ninth edition of the international competition is being expanded this year for the first time to include the “Industrial” category and is looking for creative innovations that drive the implementation of forward-looking technologies in the established manufacturing industry, always with a focus on sustainability
The exhibition and award ceremony will take place as part of Rapid.Tech 3D at Messe Erfurt, which will provide a platform for additive technologies for the 20th time from 14 to 16 May 2024 and give the industry decisive impetus.
The focus of this year’s competition is on the “collaborative mindset”, which is intended to open up the view for projects that drive forward pioneering methods, materials and processes and produce groundbreaking applications of additive manufacturing in order to create opportunities for business, industry and sustainability.
