In design tasks of any kind, questions about which materials are used and how they are processed are playing an increasingly important role. What intelligent manufacturing methods are there? Which is the most suitable in each case? With a new key visual and in the spirit of its claim “Where ideas take shape”, formnext wants to bundle the future of industrial manufacturing in one place and act as a “signpost within the industry”. In addition to the entire spectrum of different additive manufacturing (AM) processes, the trade fair offers an overview of all upstream and downstream processes. Representatives of numerous industrial sectors, whether from the automotive industry, aerospace, mechanical engineering, medical or electrical engineering, can find out about the latest developments here.

The aim of many innovative production technologies is to increase efficiency, conserve resources, optimise the time-to-market for products and open up new possibilities in design and production. As the “leading industry platform for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing”, formnext 2021 presents itself as an “international meeting point for the next generation of intelligent industrial production”. According to the organisers, the most important companies in the industry will be represented at the trade fair again this year; over 500 exhibitors, 55% from abroad, have already registered. After 18 months of digital exchange, formnext 2021 will once again be held as a presence event at Messe Frankfurt from 16 to 19 November under 2G rules – including an attractive supporting programme with lectures and events.
