Agriculture with drones

The use of drones is currently being trialled in many areas, including agriculture. The US company John Deere, together with the Bruchsal-based company Volocopter, presented VoloDrone, a cargo drone, at the recent Agritechnica trade fair in Hanover. As a result of their collaboration, the first large drone for agricultural use is about to be launched on the market. The advantages: drones can replace tractors and transport machines over large areas or hard-to-reach terrain. They are faster, and can transport materials from A to B with greater control.
