Claudia Perren leaves the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation

She took over the leadership of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation as Director and Executive Board member in 2014, developing new event and communication formats for the renowned institution and expanding its network to other museums and institutions. Her time in the position also coincided with the rebuild of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau, which she oversaw from the design competition through to the opening. After an intense “Bauhaus 100” anniversary year, it has been announced that Dr Claudia Perren is stepping down from the leadership of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation to take up a new role as Director of the FHNW Academy of Art and Design (HGK FHNW) in Basel on 1 August 2020. “I can look back on six very intense and interesting years,” says Claudia Perren, “Together we achieved all the goals that we at the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation set ourselves for the period. I made the considered decision to take the new role in Basel before my second term had expired, however, I will of course always remain very closely attached to Bauhaus Dessau.”
