It is considered Europe’s leading digital marketing and tech event: the “Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference”, DMEXCO for short. The event sees itself as a meeting place for all important decision-makers from the fields of digital business, marketing and innovation. Industry leaders, marketing and media professionals as well as technology and innovation drivers come together to discuss various aspects of digitalisation. This year, DMEXCO will once again take place as a presence format at Messe Köln on 21 and 22 September. A mixture of lectures by international speakers, exhibitions of important brands and practice-oriented “master classes” will be offered. Under the motto “#WeProgressTogether”, DMEXCO invites its community to “not only discuss progress, but also to help develop it”. There are enough current challenges, they say. The new regulatory framework of the EU, the abolition of third-party cookies, the new technologies of Web3, the challenges on the global stock markets and the increasing discussions about energy consumption and the sustainability of the digital industry are mentioned.

A total of twelve thematic summits with keynotes and panels as well as an exclusive Web3 area await the visitors in Cologne. According to the announcement, the first of the 600 participants promise “a programme of superlatives”. Representatives of international brands include Maurine Alma (CMO, takeaway.com), Clemens Bauer (Director Marketing, REWE Markt GmbH), Phil Hutcheon (Founder & CEO, Dice), Johannes Kliesch (Co-Founder, SNOCKS) and Dr. Karsten Wildberger (CEO, MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group). Media and tech professionals include Tatjana Biallas (CEO, FUNKE Medien Niedersachsen), Mark Klein (CDO, ERGO Group AG), Rasmus Giese (CEO, United Internet Media), Claire Valoti (VP EMEA, Snap Inc.) and David Roter (VP Global Agency Partnerships, Snap Inc.). In addition to Twitter’s CCO Sarah Personette, Sir Martin Sorrell (CEO, S4 Capital and founder of the advertising group WPP) will also be visiting DMEXCO.

“We will discuss how leading brands, together with the companies of the digital economy, are reacting to this currently challenging environment, above all in dialogue. DMEXCO visitors can look forward to over 30 panels alone, in which we will discuss the relevant developments in digital marketing and e-commerce, whether this is the Metaverse, Digital Out of Home, Connected TV, Retail Media or Product Experience Management,” announces Thomas Mosch, Director Conference at DMEXCO. Tickets for DMEXCO are already available online.
