People in Design: Tim Marlow to become the new director of the Design Museum London

As of January 2020 the Design Museum London will be under new leadership: Tim Marlow has been appointed as the Museum´s new director, and will also take on the newly created role of CEO. Marlow´s background in art history and experience as a curator, author and radio broadcaster provides him with sound credentials for assessing and explaining a diverse range of content. In his previous role as artistic director at the Royal Academy of Arts, which he held since 2014, he was responsible for the exhibition programme, the museum’s collection and the academic programme, as well as publications on influential artists and architects. Tim Marlow will take over from Deyan Sudjic and Alice Black, who managed the Design Museum London successfully for more than 12 years and who provided the impetus for the Museum´s relocation in 2016.
