World Industrial Design Day Frankfurt 2021,  Thursday Sept. 23rd, from 6:30 pm

World Industrial Design Day Frankfurt will take place for the third time on September 23. Under the title “Trans.form.ation – Designing Change”, the event will discuss the roles, relevance and perspectives of design today.

Announced speakers are:

  • Monika Benz, Hessisches Ministerium der Finanzen, Wiesbaden: „HSUD – Einfach gut für alle”
  • Anne Farken, designworks, München (requested)
  • Prof. Dr. Florian Lüdeke-Freund, ESCP Business School Berlin, Chair for Corporate Sustainability: „’Sustainable Business Model Design’ – Geschäftsmodellmuster für nachhaltige Wertschöpfung”
  • Ruth Reichstein, I.D.E.A. Europäische Kommission: „Das Neue Europäische Bauhaus – Der Europäische Green Deal als Designprojekt?“
  • Carsten Waldeck, shiftphone, Waldeck
  • Michael Weber, Creators Collective, Wiesbaden: „Designprinzipien für eine zirkuläre Wirtschaft“

WIDD Frankfurt is organized hybrid and takes place online, as well as in compliance with the Corona rules at makerspace Tatcraft.

Jochen Denzinger (Iconstorm) and Ulf Kilian (Deutscher Werkbund Hessen) will lead through the program. The event is curated by Frankfurt-based strategic design agency Iconstorm and Deutscher Werkbund Hessen. This year’s partners are ndion, German Design Council, Tatcraft and the Association of German Industrial Designers VDID.

WIDD Frankfurt is sponsored by the state of Hesse.
