GEM Award for Martin and Maximilian Viessmann
The end of 2017 marked the end of an era for the Viessmann business in Allendorf, Germany. From 1992 to 2017, Prof. Dr. Martin Viessmann was the sole Managing Director and CEO of the company that specialises in heating technology. He then handed over management of the company to his son, Maximilian Viessmann. Martin Viessmann continues to be active in the company as the chairman of the Viesmann Group. The company, which was founded in 1917, can look back on 100 years of industry expertise. But equally, the international success of this Hessen-based company has long been founded on the building blocks of design, corporate design and brand management. On 26 February 2020 the Gesellschaft zur Erforschung des Markenwesens (Association for Brand Research) will present Martin and Maximilian Viessmann with its annual GEM Award, honouring the personal commitment of these two entrepreneurs as the pioneers and faces of the Viessmann brand.
