Dutch Design Week 2019
These days, there is a proliferation of design festivals. The event calendar is chock-full. Nevertheless, Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven is a must-see for anyone interested in trends from the Netherlands. This year´s exhibition has some impressive statistics: nine days, 2,600 designers, 120 locations, 450 events and more than 350,000 visitors. This year, the organisers are focusing on three themes: (1) The future requires international thinking and acting; (2) The future requires connection; (3) The future requires responsibility. To help visitors find their way around a vast number of exhibits, routes have been mapped out according to themes such as Digital, Art & Collectables, Bio Design, Craft & New Material, Future Living, Talent, Social Design and Architecture & Public Space – and can be easily navigated using “Hop on – Hop off” buses. Dutch Design Week is on until 27 October.
