The New European Bauhaus was initiated in September 2020 by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Focusing on “sustainability, aesthetics and inclusiveness”, the New European Bauhaus combines art, culture, social inclusion, science and technology in an interdisciplinary way, with the aim of making Europe climate-neutral by 2050.
